1. Data Controller

The Data Controller for personal data processing is ICC S.r.l., VAT IT03950630875, as operator of the Piazze d’Italia editorial network (hereinafter, "the Network"), which includes the site piazzediitalia.it and the territorial domains connected to it.

2. Data collected

2.1 Data provided voluntarily

When you fill in the contact form on the site, we collect the data you voluntarily enter: full name, email address, company/organisation (optional), reason for contact and message.

2.2 Data collected automatically (analytics)

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect statistical data on browsing behaviour: pages visited, time spent, traffic source, device and browser type, approximate geographic area (at city/region level, not the exact address). This data is collected in pseudonymised form by Google.

3. Purposes and legal basis for processing

4. Data recipients and third-party services

Collected data may be processed by the following third parties, acting as data processors or independent controllers under their respective notices:

  • Google LLC — for the Google Analytics 4 service. Notice: policies.google.com/privacy
  • Web3Forms — for the technical handling of messages sent via the contact form. Data entered in the form (name, email, message) passes through this service to be delivered to our mailbox.
  • Affiliate partners (GetYourGuide, Booking.com, and other partners mentioned on Network pages) — when you click an affiliate link, you are directed to the partner's site, which processes your data according to its own privacy notice, independent of ours. We do not directly share your personal data with these partners: the connection happens via a browser-tracked link.

5. Transfers outside the EU

Some of the providers listed above (in particular Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area. In these cases, the transfer takes place based on adequate safeguards provided for by the GDPR, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

6. Data retention period

  • Contact form data: retained for as long as necessary to handle the request and, subsequently, for a maximum period of 24 months, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
  • Analytics data: retained according to the default periods configured in Google Analytics 4 (typically 14 months), unless configured otherwise.

7. Your rights

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Access — obtain confirmation that processing is taking place and access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification — obtain correction of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure — obtain deletion of your data, in cases provided for by law (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction — obtain restriction of processing in certain circumstances (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured format and transmit it to another controller (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection — object to the processing of your data on legitimate grounds (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw previously given consent at any time (e.g. via the cookie banner settings), without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal

8. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your data violates applicable regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali), following the procedures indicated on the official site garanteprivacy.it.

9. Minors

The site is not specifically directed at minors under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

10. Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated periodically, for example in the event of regulatory changes or new services used on the site. We recommend checking it periodically. The date of the last update is indicated at the top of the page.
